Comment by Josh Packer on December 13, 2011 at 20:49 It is intrinsically important that the Liberal Democrats within the Coalition exert some form of authority over their Conservative counter parts, and the Deputy Prime Minister spaked such a symbol, rightly so by refusing to sit in the HOC on Monday 12th Dec during the EU statement. As Chris Huhne said "If you're not in the room, you're not on the menu" We cannot risk such isolation from Europe in enacting future economic policy that will directly affect the UK.
