Market Liberalism Within The Party

After searching through all the groups listed on Lib Dem Act, I noticed there were no market liberal supportive groups. This group is a collective for all the liberals within the Lib Dems who support both economic and social liberalism.

The Alternative Vote is far from worthless

AV is a vast improvement on FPTP. It encourages honest, non-tactical voting and could produce a strong Lib Dem government in the future. We should back it at every opportunity.See More

Lets Get a 'Yes' Vote in The Alternative Vote Referendum On May 5th 2011

For all those who are liberal and also want the voting system to be.The First Past The Post system hands power to the lucky few who live in marginal constituencies and sucks it away from the vast majority of us who do not.

Profile Information

Hi!

Hi, I'm currently at college studying music, politics and law.

Aside from politics, I am a Grade 8 Distinction singer and a Grade 8 Pass with violin. I am a complete music geek of all sorts; rock, R&B, classical, folk and hip-hop! I will happily listen to Beethoven's Pathetique Symphony than listen to some Black Eyed Peas straight after!!! I am also very keen on cricket, and have had South East Hampshire trials.

Feel free to talk to me if you want to, I won't bite of course!

Tim.

Could be worse - my MP is David Willets - I think he hates students!

I am really enjoying it at the mo - it's fun meeting lots of new people and finding out how it all works!

Not at the moment no - all my hand in dates were the 6th of May which was a bugger! But I managed to get essays finished early to spend the last 10 days campagning. I guess the real test will be in Sept - but I am sure I'll manage! :)

On the contrary, Tim, you have the best possible reason for promoting liberalism. I suspect that until we become invloved in party politics, many of us do not realise how "political" we are. Every aspect of our lives from cradle to grave is affected by politics in one way or another, mainly by how much dosh our area receives from the National Pot (which is all OUR MONEY, anyway).

Hello Tim, I could be in the Guiness Book of records, because I am probably the only person in this country who has won the national lottery 228 times, but I give all the money away for charity. Gambling is forbidden for me. I was referred to as a "psychic" in T.V. Times in 1982, when I was featured with Russell Grant. It is not good to be too famous, because you attract the wrong kind of people. My work is usually private. I have never contested in a constituency at all, but yes, I would be a great candidate if I was nominated ! Salim.
