When is someone going to explain why we should campaign for AV?

As a lifelong supporter of proportional representation, for most of it advocating STV in multi-member constituencies, I need to be convinced that I should campaign for the Alternative Vote in a referendum.

Nick Clegg seems to take it for granted that I will. When is someone going to explain to the membership why we should?
