Jeremy Hilton posted a blog postI have just deposited our call-in with democratic service objecting to the Tory plan to sell off the North Warehouse, the civic HQ of Gloucester City Council. The Tories made the decision behind closed doors and have failed to properly consult staff, councillors or the public. The call-in and press release are on my website at www.jeremyhilton.co.uk

This morning we had large team out in Longlevens helping Lib Dem candidate Di Docksey. Big chunk of delivery done and excellent results from the canvassing team. Di Docksey has been leading the campaign against the Tory cuts in the opening hours at Longlevens Library.

Lib Dem team out canvassing in Quedgeley this morning – strong support for the Lib Dems. Labour still being blamed, and rightfully so, for the economic mess the country is in.
We have excellent local candidates Anna Mozol for Severnvale and David Southgate for Fieldcourt.

Gloucester Liberal Democrats have just held a very successful Quiz Evening in Hempsted.
We had packed hall, a fun quiz and good food. This was a profitable evening with funds going towards my election campaign. Sebastian Field was the quizmaster and Joan Heath took charge of the catering.
Earlier today we were out delivering the Gloucester Bulletin, our newspaper in the Barton & Tredworth ward.

Today was the annual meeting of Gloucester City Council. First job was to elect the new Mayor of Gloucester, then lunch, followed by sorting out committee places and the election of the leader of the council. The Tories voted on block for their man to be leader of the council, we voted against and Labour sat on their hands and abstained. Have we got a red/blue coalition in the making?
