Profile Information

Other half is a Lib Demmer but am not a member of any party
Not a believer on being political party member and more intrenched in that view, over the last few months.

But coming round to believing Lib Dems are essential in Gov for next 3 - 8 yrs or failing that
as the strong "official" oppostion for the next decade

FRIENDS
As you cant private message people on ACT without becoming friends with them first
I have a plan to delete friends from the friends list after a few months, if we havent had contact with each other for a few months
So no offense meant and no offense taken if you do the same

Hi John

Ha! The photo isnt meant to be a symbol of me.
I liked the idea of what it could represent though !
The times we live in now theres no good reason why 2010
Lib Dems shouldnt be able to crack the 100 seat barrier
at least.

Hello Chris the Lion!
Glad to get your message. My gut feeling is that all over the country there are young people especially who are seeking the alternative that the Lib Dems are able to provide. #
No one is at all keen to go back to the Tories and are not too happy about supporting a discredited Labour government.
We do not have the luxury of a level playing field with both of the other major parties spending considerably more on the forthcoming General Election campaign than we can afford.
Thats why our party is intending to contest particular seats very hard. So that we can substantially increase the number of seats we hold.
Many years ago when I first joined the party (It was the Liberal Party in those days) I didn't know a great deal about policies but what persuaded me more than anything else was that one of their members came round to ask. I read the pre-amble to the constitution and knew I had found the right party to support.
In those days we could count the nember of MPs on one hand. It is unbeleivable how things have changed for the better under the varioiuys leaders we members have elected!
So I say this to you Chris. Dont worry too much about individual policies. Read the pre-amble to our constitution - it says it all in a nut-shell ! Then come & join us. We really do need your help. I have no idea which constituency you are in down there in Kent but I am certain the members there will welcome you with open arms.
Sincere good wishes,
John Stephen
