Britains Multi Role Combat Aircraft, The obvious solution !!

So, Jaguar, Gone !, Harrier, Gone ! Tornado F3,Gone !  Tornado GR4 on the way out. Typhoon, Expensive to run! so what do we have left? We have an aircraft that can do all these roles in a highly capable package already. Its been in service since the 1980s (in Mk 60 guise) and has proved itself in so many ways. The newer Mk 100s are even better. The single seat -200 had the same radar set up as an F16, Its British built yet we dont use it to its full potential. What is it ? The excellent BAe Hawk…See More

RAF Cutbacks.

The RAF has announced that it's to shed a quarter of its trainee pilots, thats around 100 highly intelligent young men and women who have studied hard to get where there today. Many of them are almost fully qualified and about to get their wings. The reasoning behind it is that we have fewer aircraft so need fewer aircrew. Now as each pilot takes 4 years to train and costs about £4,000,000 to do so It seems we still havn't learnt any lessons. What with a huge waste of resources already used to…See More

The raise in tuition fees.

Following the recent disturbances and assault on the Royal Family by students I have to say that we need to rethink things. Clearly this issue is far from resolved and in the meantime its costing the party a lot in lost votes and I do believe members. Whilst it is clear that extra funding for some universities is needed may I suggest another idea. Ove r the past few years we have all heard about student doing degree courses in the most obscure subjects imaginable, ie a course on David Beckam !…See More
