Now is the time to put pressure on our MPs to stand up on the tuition fees issue. Many of them are very unhappy with the Government policy but are being put under a lot of pressure by the whips office. Our MPs need to know the groundswell of feeling within the party. Email/write to our MPs now!

I will be starting University in 2013 (or 2014, if I have a rest year), and I was hoping the Tories would end up saying they would make tuition free. The system is clearly broken, NOBODY can actually afford the fees, and this is WITH the cap on costs!

As a student in university at the moment, this is a particularly close issue to my heart - thanks for making a group for this, Adam. Tuition fees are ridiculously high and rising - my £3225 per annum fee is increasing to £3290 for next year. Not to mention I get a loan of £3519 to cover all my living expenses when my accommodation in university halls of residence alone costs £4689. It seems to me to be an indictment of the modern education system that I have had to give all my life savings to get the education that those receiving my money got for free.
