Comment by Dave Thawley on September 21, 2011 at 23:09 RIP the Lib Dem Party.
From God knows when to 22-9-11
Cause of death - A long sharp blade stabbed repeatedly in the back
perpetrator - A Tory named Clegg.
Circumstances - Clegg infiltrated the party and pretended to be a party member. At the first opportunity he started to abuse the party which ultimately lead to a bloody death filmed for all to see at the lib-dem conference 2011 when Clegg killed off all chances of a socal agenda and instead turned the party into an annex of the tory party.
RIP to a great idea killed by neo-liberal ideology.

Time for LibDem politicians to create a new UK-wide political alliance with the SNP.

Comment by Paul Catherall on May 8, 2011 at 23:54 I wrote to a lot of Lords in the final fight against the triple fee, I was shocked to see that the few replies I got were arguing in all sincerity for the bill.
Enough LibDem MPs and Lords have voted with the government to enact or progress all their major policies so far (NHS and education papers, triple fee, EMA etc.), this sends out a clear and devastating message to the electorate that the Westminster side of party is neoliberal and has nothing in common with basic social values sought by the progressive electorate.

If we want our Party to survive, please join the Social Liberal Forum here -
Home page - http://socialliberal.net/
Join us here - http://socialliberal.net/join-us/
I have joined because I don't see why I should have to leave a Party which I have believed in since 1964 because it is now jettisoning our Liberal ideals and values to go along with and prop up so many of the Tory policies.
Will you join too?
Comment by Rebekah Gronowski on April 14, 2011 at 16:18 Please make sure that you sign the Social Liberal Forum Petition [partial quote from Evan Harris]- "the grassroots LibDem statement calling for the amendments to the Health Bill which we called for at our Spring Conference to be delivered in full. We now have over 1500 signatories [today's figures] including hundreds of conference reps and over 100 parliamentary candidates. This has now gone live and the existing public signatories can be viewed here".....................
