I use a Canon EOS 1000D. Basic, but good quality. It's been at my side a couple of years now.

So what does everyone shoot with? I'm learning on a Nikon D70 at the mo until a job pays enough to let me upgrade :-)

Exactly, and yet many police officers and PCSOs seem totally unaware of current legislation, or are willing to abuse loopholes.

When people are stopped for taking photo's of St. Paul's...

It's actually a logical paradox to delete photos. If no crime has been committed, it's unnecessary. If a crime has been committed, it's destroying evidence!

One of the main reasons I fear the police state we're often told we're heading into is the lack of photographers rights being protected.

So many stories of photographers being unfairly apprehended, often jailed without charge, photos deletes...and no clear regulations. Terrible.
