Nick Clegg Meets...

Politicians have let people down, they feel disconnected from the old, Westminster-based style of politics. I am determined to change that & why I host open invitation public meetings across the UK & have been doing so since I became Party Leader.

I live in Cheshire.

David Cameron came to a town near me recently. This is a Tory stronghold, where even Labour seats look set to fall next time round, but when Cameron turned up their were anti-Tory protestors lined up outside. It's clear that there is a place for an opposition to the Tories, so I think Nick should come and visit us up here.

Seeing as the Election only a short while away and we need
a greater Lib Dem presence
http://act.libdems.org.uk/events/email-campaign

can people who are interested RSVP it to see how many will join in
can anyone publicise it on other lib dem sites?

Is there a place where Lib dems members and the public can send in
ideas for slogans, posters, tv ads etc and the best can be used
as an additional part of the General Election campaign

As there must be some untapped potential out there in art colleges, student filmakers, graphic design and Joe public in general. Lib dem members could vote on what the best were and they could be used for free

What concrete stuff will the Lib Dems put through in a 1st term of government

So far I know
1. Electoral system would be changed
2. £ 10 k a year personal allowance
3. Mansion tax

What other definites are there?
would the council tax be abolished?
Is there a pull out timeframe for Iraq?

I think it would also be great to have a Nick Clegg meets Swindon event because we rarely have Liberal Democrat events in the local area and there is a strong youth support base.
