Well said, Fatuma. If people like George feel angry about tuition fees, they should give a more articulate argument than just shouting 'betrayal' so we can have a reasoned discussion.

I have plenty of confidence in Nick as party leader. Just saying.
George W. Potter Comment by George W. Potter on January 3, 2011 at 12:23am

Hi. I'm submitting a motion to conference stating no-confidence in Nick as party leader. It's not constitutionally binding and I don't expect it to pass but the debate on it will be good for our internal democracy and will also send clear messages to the leadership, the public and the media that we are not all in love with the coalition and that we do not all support the tuition fees betrayal. The deadline for motion submissions is the 11th of January so I'm asking for people to pass the message on to any conference reps they know or to ask their local party if they would be willing to sponsor it. Thank you.

The full text of the motion can be found here: http://thepotterblogger.blogspot.com/2010/12/motion-of-no-confidenc...

and I can be contacted here: potter_g@hotmail.co.uk

Posted first on PR or Nothing Comment Wall.

Two suggestions for stickers/badges which could do with attention from a Graphic Designer to be sent to Lib Dem Image & ALDC:

The football supporters' mantra - 'AV' IT

and the Lib Dem preferences: "ME for STV" or "STV for ME"

Or for really decrepit old wireless-educated fogeys such as me, the Wilfred and Mabel Pickles favourite: "'AV' A GO"

I'll post this on Marketing & Creatives as well, Rhiannon.

The Battlebus is coming
Info and discussion in the Facebook Group

From Monday 29th March until Sunday 18th April Liberal Youth are taking to the road and contributing to campaigns up and down the country. We have hired a ‘battle bus’, and will be stopping off and helping out in key seats such as Birmingham Hall Green, Richmond, York Outer and Kendal.
This is a great opportunity to get involved, meet new people, and make a real difference to the Liberal Democrat General Election campaign. Whether you can join the bus for 2 days or 2 weeks, our efforts can get more Lib Dem MPs elected.
To get involved or find out more please e-mail Vice-Chair Campaigns Matt Folker: matthew.folker@liberalyouth.org

Hey all
I'm new
I live in Portsmouth at the moment, and just wondered whether there is anything going on. I'm interested in getting the last few people to register to vote before the deadline which is fast approaching (6 weeks before the election) as well as working on how to get people to the polls. Is there any plan or scheme that I'm not aware of?

thanks
