One suggestion - if you are not already Party Members, may I suggest that you join on the Lib Dem website -

If you are a Member (or even if not) try to locate your Local Party - you can do this from the same website by putting in your Postcode in the LP search box and it will come up with the necessary contact details.

Get involved with your local Party and offer to help - with Elections coming up you will be made so welcome - you will probably be asked to help with deliveries of leaflets etc. or, if you cannot do that, you could mabye offer other help such as addressing envelopes, doing routine office work - there are plenty of jobs which need to be done in the run-up to Elections. Now is a very good time to be getting invlolved wiht your Local Party. go for it - it will throw you in at the deep end!

Some Local Parties run Social events (e.g. Pizza and Politics" or "Pub Grub and Politics" I know we do this.

Above all, Enjoy it!

I am roughly about the same age as you and have also got extremely interested in politics and at the moment I am writing some letters, offering to volunteer my time to help out, as well as starting a degree in Politics. So, perhaps you could try that approach, like e-mailing or writing to your local mp or Liberal Democrat party.

Hi all! I'm 22 years old, and I would love to get into Politics, although I'm not really sure how to do so. I would really like to represent people within my community, and there a key issues that I feel very strongly about, but I don't know how or where to get started. Can anyone offer any advice on how I may be more proactive?
