Bring Back Real Farming

With current farming methods relying on expensive and harmful chemicals& fertilizers for crops and animals inc more and more intensive rearing of animals

Theres a urgent need to bring back more of the traditional farming methods

I think its something like 91 or 92 % of fruit and veg in the UK is grown from abroad
I know if your trying to make a basic living at working at such a vital & important job as a farmer in the UK you get screwed into the ground, unless you dont mind living close to the bread line

Plus it seems in big scale farming nitrogen is being used too extensively which destroys soil and water sources

This is a great idea but is it realistic? I have joined because I agree but I have no basis. Are we now too reliant on agricutural enhancements to feed our over populated island?
